About St Albans Recovery

We are St Albans Recovery and we have been established as a business in St Albans since the mid 1970's. We are a family business, consisting of father, two sons and one longstanding employee. 

As our name suggests, we originally concentrated on vehicle recovery work, this being our main form of business during the 80's, 90's and early 2000.  St Albans Recovery opened as an MOT station in 1992, testing class 4 vehicles up to 3,000 kg dgw petrol and diesel, including light commercials.  We have a large workshop with two ramps and including the mot bay, the latest diagnostic equipment. We also specialise in air conditioning. 

Our Company maintains all types and makes of vehicles including light commercials up to twin wheel transit size.  All the above services apply to our work.  There is also a full tyre fitting service available on site, using the latest machinery. 

Customers have commented we are approachable and friendly. Although our MOT service is by appointment only, we do a walk in service for various minor jobs needed doing on vehicles. 

We are VAT registered and are monitored regularly by VOSA, these are the people who control the MOT scheme.  Insurance documentation is available on request, and all our staff are highly trained.
